This Sunday, October 3rd, we will be observing Holy Communion during the worship service. This will also be World Communion Sunday, one of the six Special Sundays in the United Methodist Church as we will share communion with our Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world. People all around the world will receive communion and reflect on the importance of Communion in our Christian lives. As is tradition, we have the opportunity to participate in a special offering for World Communion this week. This special offering helps to fund special programs and scholarships for ethnic scholarships for undergraduate students as well as funds for In-Service Training programs for racial and ethnic persons.
