A Merged Congregation: A Place to Be

During the month of July we will have a sermon series titled Love and Justice. Each Sunday in July, during our 11am worship service, there will be a sermon of hope from various community leaders. The first Sunday in the series is July 4th and The Rev. Dr. Jason W. Harvey

July 11th, 7th Sunday after Pentecost, 11 am in the Sanctuary. Returning after preaching in the 2019 summer series is The Rev. David Fraccaro, The Executive Director of Greensboro’s Faith Action International House.

More about David from Faith Action’s website: “Prior to coming to Greensboro, David worked on interfaith and ecumenical cooperation with the Interfaith Youth Core in Chicago and the National Council of Churches in New York City.  He has also worked for the Riverside Church in NYC as the Coordinator for Sojourners Visitation Ministry with Detained Immigrants and Asylum Seekers, the group that inspired the independent movie, The Visitor. Rev. Fraccaro is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and has served as a minister with two congregations in New Jersey.  He has also been a human rights volunteer for the UCC in Bolivia, Kenya and East Timor, and with the United Nations. David is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary (Masters of Divinity) and Columbia University (Masters of Human Rights). Prior to graduate school, David worked as an actor and singer performing in theaters across the United States.”
