A Merged Congregation: A Place to Be

Dale Farlow will be going to Guatemala again with a mission team of the United Methodist Church from October 22-29. The families often live in huts with a dirt floor. They cook three meals a day over an open fire or in a raised box in their home. The mission team will install stoves and a water purifiers. We will also provide de-worming tablets, vitamins, tooth paste, toothbrushes and clothing items for families in the villages.

If you would like to support his work and make monetary or item donations, they will go towards the purchase of the stoves, water purifiers, concrete and whitewash. The cost of all of the above is around $300 per family and the team hopes to assist 500 families while they are there. Contact the office for a complete list of requested items. Some examples: New/gently used clothing (no XL sizes), small stuffed animals, games, tooth brush and paste, bar soap, combs/brushes, bed sheets/pillow cases.
