A Merged Congregation: A Place to Be

The day set aside as a national holiday to give thanks is fast approaching – despite the 70 degree temperatures or our readiness. It’s a very American holiday with lots of historical references of yesteryear. Yet, it is also a day we need in our modern world. It is not that we need it as the official kickoff to the shopping season, rather, we need Thanksgiving as a time to celebrate our families and friends, to celebrate the wonders of creation, to give thanks for our lives and all that we have, to be grateful for the best parts of our country and pray God’s blessings upon it’s future, and a time we may give thanks for the church universal and especially for College Place as our community of faith. It’s time to reflect where we can celebrate God in our lives and to pray for places were God is most needed. May your Thanksgiving be blessed. Happy Thanksgiving,

Pastor Jason
