Have you noticed the front and back doors have blue bows on the wreaths? Was the store out of red ribbon? No, it’s more than that. We are using royal blue since that is the liturgical color for the season of Advent. Blue is the color of hope used to focus our worship on both the expectation of the celebration of the infant Jesus long ago and expectation of his return in the future when all is restored perfectly. We’ll change out the blue ones for white bows on Christmas Eve as we begin the high holy days of Christmas.
